James Booker-Flamboyant Pirate, Piano Vituoso

I'm not sure which James Booker I'd want to play at my funeral.

Crazy junked-up pirate Booker:

Or lucid, cool sober Booker:

Either way. I want him there. Make it happen, loved ones.

  1. I would take him anyway at all...what a brilliant, tortured soul...too bad we do not understand that success does not equate with talent...in fact, it seems mediocrity rises to the top...at any rate, just hearing him play makes me happy, sad, angry, and a myriad of other emotions. Just wish I could have told him that after seeing Van Cliburn, Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, Liberace, Allen Toussaint, Ramsey Lewis, Ray Charles, etc., he was "...better than all of them."
